Voting
How do I vote for a candidate?
Open the candidate's page from Competitions or Candidates, tap Vote Now, choose how many votes you want, then pay with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money. Your votes are added as soon as the payment is confirmed.
Do I need an account to vote?
No. All you need is a mobile money number. Your votes appear under My Votes as soon as they're confirmed.
How many votes can I send?
As many as you like. You can buy up to 1,000 votes in a single payment and pay again for more.
Can I vote after a competition closes?
No. Each competition shows the date voting ends. After that, the vote button is switched off and the final ranking is locked.
How are the rankings calculated?
Candidates are ranked by the total number of paid votes they receive. Rankings update in real time as votes are confirmed.
Payments
Which payment methods are accepted?
MTN Mobile Money (numbers starting 67, 650–654 or 680–684) and Orange Money (numbers starting 69, 655–659 or 685–689).
How much does a vote cost?
Each competition sets its own price per vote, shown before you pay. Most competitions charge 100 XAF per vote.
I didn't get the payment prompt on my phone.
Check that the number you entered is correct and matches the network you chose, that your phone has signal, and that your mobile money account is active. Then try again.
I was charged but my votes didn't show up.
Contact us with the payment reference from your confirmation screen (it starts with VC) and the number you paid with. We'll check the transaction and add the votes if the payment went through.
Where can I see my past votes?
Open My Votes from the menu. It lists every vote with the candidate, competition, amount paid and payment method.
Organizers
How do I list my competition on VoteCam?
Fill in the Become an Organizer form with your details, the competition, your voting dates and your payout number. We review every application before a competition goes live.
How long does the review take?
We review applications within 2–5 business days and contact you by phone and email with the result.
Why do you need my ID?
Verifying who runs each competition protects voters and contestants, and makes sure vote revenue is paid to the right person.
How do I get paid?
Your share of the vote revenue is sent to the MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money number you gave in your application.
Can contestants under 18 take part?
Yes, as long as a parent or guardian has given consent. Organizers confirm this when they apply.
